The Prowlers of Thief River Falls had a great season last year as they posted a 20-10 dual meet marks and were Section 8AA and North Star Conference champions. Back from that team will be eight section place winners, including four state qualifiers, which one was a state place winner. They will also have back eleven others with a great deal of experience plus one transfer that was a section place winner. Despite the graduation of three seniors, including two state tourney wrestlers, one being a state finalists, look for the Prowlers to challenge those dual meet marks of last season. They should make a very strong challenge to defend those titles from last season, the Prowlers should earn many regular season honors too. Jacoby Bergeron, Chaz Abrahamson, Sam Twistol, Nick Cervantes, Austin Hjelle, Nathaniel Halecek and Logan Alten should be their key leaders thru out the season.

The Cardinals of Staples-Motley had an excellent season with their 20-3 dual meet marks, final four in this very balanced section and their Mid-State conference championship. They will have back from that team eight section place winners including one state qualifier and five others with a great deal of experience. Despite the graduation of four very good seniors, including three state qualifiers look for the Cardinals to challenge those dual meet marks from last season. They should also make a strong challenge for both section and conference, also look for them to defend many of those regular season honors. Blake Petrich, Chandler Trout, Blake Miller, Jordan Heldman,, David Deyonge and Taylor Bendson should be their key leaders thru out the season.

They did graduate seven seniors including five section place winners two of which were state place winners. Look for the Yellow Jackets to challenge those dual meet marks as they will be able to fill in with some very good junior varsity wrestlers. They should also make a strong challenge for a top four spot in this very good dual meet campaign. Jesse Hein, Luke Sailer, Brandon Lueders, James Harlow and Tyler Haverland to be their key leaders thru out the season.

If the Lakers can stay injury free they should also make a challenge for a top four spot in this very balanced dual meet campaign and to challenge for Mid-State Conference honors. Mike Bellefeulle, Gabe Foltz, Parker Jackson, Justin Tweeton, Bryce Dutton, Ben Gaifus and Brandon Dahring should be key leaders thru out the season.
