The Magic of Monticello had one of their best season in recent years as they posted a 20-7 dual meet mark and were 6-2 in the Mississippi 8 Conference. Back from their Section Runner Up team are eight state qualifiers, including a state champion and state runner up. Also returning are three others with a great deal of varsity experience from last season. So despite the graduation of three excellent seniors including two state qualifiers look for the Magic to make a strong challenge for Section dual meet honors and defend the tittles they won last season during the regular season. Tyler Mergen, Sabastian Gardner, Jake Schmitz, Eric Bougeois, Logan Draack and Joe Jude to be their key leaders for the upcoming season.

The Eagles posted a great 18-7 dual meet mark last season and a section 5AA championship, back from that team will be seven section place winners including two state tourney wrestlers and four others with a great deal of experience. Despite the graduation of six section place winners including two state tourney wrestlers, look for the Eagles to challenge those dual meet numbers from last season. They should make a very strong challenge to defend those honors from last season and to defend many of their regular season honors. Anthony Gullickson, Joe Gomez, Quinton Thiele and Adam Seifert should be their leaders thru out the season.

Zach Stepan, Mitch Robinson, Zach Copic and Hunter Smith should be key leaders thru out the season.

If this team continues to improve look for them to make a strong challenge for one of top four spots in this 5AA dual meet campaign. Patrick Faber, Jesse Root, Ivan Guernesey and Nick Carlson should be their leaders thru out the season.
