The Falcons had a great season with a 26-6 overall mark and a fourth place in the state class AA state dual meet competition. They will have back seven state tourney qualifiers including two place winners, also three section place winners back. Twenty wrestlers return with a great deal of experience including two that were state qualifiers the previous year. Despite the graduation of four seniors including two state qualifiers look for the Falcons to make a strong bid to repeat of section champions, state honors and conference honors. Look for this already very experienced team to make huge strides during the course of the season. Taylor Lewandowski, Tristan Manderfeld, Mitch Dunlap, Tyler Jenson, Chevy Goble, Tyler Bemboom, Tony Kipka and Keith Thell to be their key leaders thru out the season.

The Wolves of Milaca had a great season last year with a 26-9 dual meet mark and section runner up honors. They will return four state qualifiers, four section place winners and six others with a great deal of experience. Despite the graduation of four very good seniors, including one state place winner, look for the Wolves to really be hungry after missing out on their state tourney trip last season. The Wolves should challenge for section, state and conference honors. Joey Curtis, Jonah Gahm, Justin Ladehoff, Joe Moscho, Jake Earl and Jordan Ahner should be their key leaders thru out the season.

The Flyers had a solid season last year with their 20-11 mark Co-Conference championship, however they are looking at a new conference with two of the long time state powers as foes. They will return five section place winners and ten others with a great deal of experience. Despite the graduation of four very good seniors look for this young to team a make a lot of improvement over the course of the season. The Flyers will not only be a force in this new conference, they should be one of the favorites what should be a very balanced section dual meet campaign in section 8AAA this season. Dillon Kifer, Frank Wilczzek and Conor Swanson should their key leaders thru out the season.

The Mustangs really struggled thru out the season with various injuries to key wrestlers and yet managed to have a 14-10 dual meet campaign. They have seven section place winners and seven others with a great deal of experience back. This includes ten wrestlers with fourteen or more wins. Despite the fact the Mustangs graduated five seniors including one section place winner and one state qualifier from the previous year, look for this young team to progress thru the course of the season. They should make a strong challenge in this conference and a force to be dealt with in section 7AA.

If their younger wrestlers continue to improve they could challenge those dual meet marks from last season. Josh Linder, Billy McClay and Louie Servaty should be their key leaders thru out the season.

The Thunder posted dual meet marks of 6-14 and they have back four section place winners, including two state qualifiers and four others with a great deal of experience. They will be moving from the Mississippi 8 to the Granite Ridge Conference where the competition will be as good. The Thunder graduated five section place winners including two state qualifiers, so they may be hard pressed to improve on those dual meet numbers. If the younger wrestlers improve during the course of the season they could improve on those marks. Mitch Robinson and Hunter Smith should be their key leaders thru out the season.

Back from that team are three state qualifiers including three place winners, three section place winners and four others with a great deal of experience. So despite the fact they graduated ten seniors including eight section place winners, four state qualifiers, three were state place winners, they should have yet another great season. They should make a major challenge both section and conference honors as well as state honors. Cole Sladek, Tommy Thorn, Mark Voss, Lincoln Mallinger, Wayne Voss, Ricky Briggs and Nick Edling all won over twenty-nine matches, should be their key leaders thru out the season.

The Blue Jackets of Cambridge-Isanti had a very good season last season as they posted 27-5 dual meet marks and won section runner up honors in the dual meet campaign. Back from that team are four state qualifiers including three state place winners, three section place winners and ten others with a great deal of experience. Despite the fact that they graduated six seniors including four state qualifiers, three of which were state place winners, they will challenge those dual meet marks. Look for the Blue Jackets to be a force to dealt with as they will improve over the course of the season. They should make a strong challenge for both section and conference honors. Clayton Jennissen, Cody Skog, Travis Holt, Tyler Tischer and Ty Torgerson should be their key leaders thru out the season.

The Magic of Monticello had an outstanding season last year as they posted a 23-4 dual meet mark and section championship honors. They will return four state qualifiers including one state place winner, three section place winners and two others with experience. They will be hard pressed to match those dual meet marks from last season. With the graduation of eight seniors including six state qualifiers including two state champions. But look for this team to fill in with some junior varsity wrestlers. They should make a great deal of improvement thru out the season. The Magic should make a strong challenge for section honors and possibly for conference honors. Eric Bourgeois, Nic Grimley, Jake Berthiaume, Zach Beaumaster and Logan Stiller should be their key leaders thru out the season.

Look for the Bulldogs to challenge for a top four spot in their section dual meet campaign. Matt Sadlowsky, Cory Nelson, Kris Plath, Eric Dudek, Zach Zimmer and Luke Schmalz should be their key leaders thru out the season.

A total of thirteen wrestlers with nine wins or more. They did graduate four seniors including a state champion, but look for the Hornets to make a big improvement on those dual meet marks. They could challenge for one of those top four spots in the section dual meet campaign. Deven Donais, Josiah Brown, Cole Knaeble and Tristen Jacques should be their key leaders thru out the season.

The Bison posted 6-15 dual meet marks last season, back from that team are one state qualifier, two section place winners and nine others with a great deal of experience. They did graduate two very good wrestlers last spring, however with the report of some additional wrestlers rejoining the team, they should improve on those dual meet marks of last season. Look a great deal of improvement from the Bison program if they can keep their wrestlers healthy. They should move up in the conference standings and do have a chance to challenge for a top four spot in what appears to be a very balance section dual meet campaign. Cedric Jimenez, Tanner Maus, Adam Treptau, Lucas Mock, Jonathon Wirkkala and Mike Simeon should be their key leaders thru out the season.

But look for them to challenge for a top four spot in what should be a very balanced section. They will make a strong challenge once again for conference honors.
